This same hardware was also marketed as the HP Neoware Thintune XS. (THINTUNE eXtra Small is positioned as the entry-level model of the THINTUNE product family).

Specifications

The Percio runs GIO Linux. The label on the bottom identifies the unit as a "TC5000 Series" but may now be the TC5131-LI. There is no manufacturing date. The case size and style are similar to the Wyse WT3235LE. The two USB ports are located on the front of the unit and the 32Mb of flash is actually a Compact Flash card that is accessible on the left hand side of the unit. (There is normally a metal cover fixed over the slot).

The SIS 550 processor is described as a "System On a Chip for embedded solutions". Although 200MHz does not sound particularly fast the 200MHz SIS 550 supposedly outperforms a 300MHz Geode GX1 in a number of areas.

Power Supply

The Percio has an external 5V supply and uses a conventional coaxial connector - 5.5mm outside diameter, 2.5mm internal diameter.

The label on the bottom states 5V @ 2.4A.

Both the Flash memory and the RAM in the Percio are easily replaceable.

Flash: The flash memory is actually a Compact Flash card inserted into a socket on the left-hand side of the unit (the connector is under the circuit board). Also available is a DiskOnChip socket and a 40-pin IDE interface which could be used for a DiskOnModule. The Compact Flash card is configured as the "Master" on the IDE interface, so, unless you remove the card, any drive you connect to IDE interface should be configured as a "Slave". I have used CF cards up to 2GB in capacity and have had no problems.

RAM: There is a standard 144-pin PC133 SODIMM socket for the RAM. I have successfully used 128MB and 256MB modules in place of the supplied 64MB.
